When you, entering a forest, perceive the beauty of the forest and you feel to be in a complete harmony with it, then, intuitively, you are in peace with the Deities. They are an essential part of our real nature, our Deep Nature, and when we are separated by our real nature we live in the fear. Perceiving such normality means giving a real sense to our lives.

Undertaking the Roman Via to the Deities implies a path to awakening: with the practice of continuing consciousness and awareness we undertake our walking knowing that taking the path is more important than the destination itself

Invocatio

Gods and Goddesses are not personal entities subjected to a passional devotion aimed to achieve their favour and intervention. They are Entities of the Universe: they are components of the Universe as well as other entities through which the Universe appears to us.
The Universe permeates all.

"Quod est inferius est sicut quod est superius, et quod est superius est sicut quod est inferius, ad perpetranda miracula rei unius"

"Whatever is below is similar to that which is above. Through this the marvels of the work of one thing are procured and perfected"
(The Emerald Tablet)

This sentence clearly highlights the deep link bonding together everything within the great flow of the existence.

It means that a man or a woman undertaking the Via, thus becoming a Cultor or a Cultrix, becomes aware of this continuity and the presence of these interrelated contacts.

The invocatio (as theurgic expression of a prayer) is therefore the way through which we can develop and strengthen these contacts with the Divine dimension creating a continuity with the Deities. A Cultor or a Cultrix doesn't invoke a Deity demanding favours, but rather to creating a continuity between the Human and the Divine Dimension. Through the invocatio we awake inside our souls a quiet force in contact with the Divine one.A we can feel it.

The word invocatio is linked to the term Vox or the Thought (Mens) becoming expressed and embodied: the invocatio thus gives an expressed "shape" to the Thought.

For this reason the Traditional Roman Spirituality is a practice rather than a religion in profane terms. A real Cultor/Cultrix within their everyday life, even in the simplest actions, convey an invocatio because they have this awareness, this feeling: they are in a permanent contact with the Divine.

"Invoking means acting, acting means invoking"

The invocatio therefore confirms the right direction of the human acting by a Cultor/Cultrix. When we are in contact with our Gods and Goddesses, we can also "perceive" the Divine Help because the Human and Divine Dimension are integrated in harmony. We can call this also "Divine Providence".
