When you, entering a forest, perceive the beauty of the forest and you feel to be in a complete harmony with it, then, intuitively, you are in peace with the Deities. They are an essential part of our real nature, our Deep Nature, and when we are separated by our real nature we live in the fear. Perceiving such normality means giving a real sense to our lives.

Undertaking the Roman Via to the Deities implies a path to awakening: with the practice of continuing consciousness and awareness we undertake our walking knowing that taking the path is more important than the destination itself

Participation

January is a month enterely devoted to Janus about whom I have already written some posts:
January
The Arch - Janus

This period so highly dedicated to the "Beginnings" appears to me as a sort of symbolic "Sunrise" during which I can make some reflections about the past and the new year.
I'm reflecting in these days about those choices have driven me to live a see at the Traditional Roman Spirituality as a real Path to Knowledge.

In my opinion, living Polytheism in the everyday life means essentially living a form of "participation".

On the base of the approaches provided by the Traditional Roman Spirituality, material and immaterial worlds do not appear to me as detached entities as well as the inner and the outer worlds do not appear to me as two distinct spheres but rather as strictly interrelated dimensions. For this reason we are part of this interrelated and tangled up network.

A numeber of ideologies and theories have frequently educated us in believing that mankind has a privileged positiion within the Universe. This anthropocentric vision has made us myopic and unable to give dignity to all the manifestations of the Being. Some religions still deny equal dignity to women or deny dignity to men and women from different religions. How can they only imagine that mankind is only a small component of the Nature and in the Universe? When we abandon this prejudice it becomes clear that we cannot have a superiority position towards the nature as well as an inferiority approach to the Divine Dimension because we all are fragments of the Great Everything.

Polytheism thus implies an awareness about the idea that everything has its own individuality, a peculiarity, making all things different from each other. The world is therefore composed of "differences" and contrasts as well as harmonies. Harmony is the result of the interaction of opposing elements participating to the common flowing in the mutual existence.
