When you, entering a forest, perceive the beauty of the forest and you feel to be in a complete harmony with it, then, intuitively, you are in peace with the Deities. They are an essential part of our real nature, our Deep Nature, and when we are separated by our real nature we live in the fear. Perceiving such normality means giving a real sense to our lives.

Undertaking the Roman Via to the Deities implies a path to awakening: with the practice of continuing consciousness and awareness we undertake our walking knowing that taking the path is more important than the destination itself

Carmentalia - Carmenta

The days from jan. 12 to 15 are dedicated to Carmenta, the sacralization of the female energy of the prediction and prophecy. Carmenta-Carmentis is identified as a nymph to evidence the link between this sacred force and the female energy of water.

Carmenta, who in the past had a specific Flamen and a specific Flaminica, deploys her power over the human birth because she is a Goddess of the Destiny: this is the reason why Carmenta is linked to prophecy. I would like to highlight however that the term "prophecy" has not to be intented as a form of passionate and irrational prediction of the future in a profane sense, but the capability to "see what the others cannot see" in a mystical sense. While a strix, inspired by Minerua can "see through the darkness", the prophetess, inspired by Carmenta, can "see through the time".

Carmenta has two epithets resembling the position of the baby at the birth: Postuorta e Prorsa. The former evidences when Carmenta looks to the past, the latter when looking to the future. This condition contributes also to highlight the link between Carmenta and Janus.

Carmenta is the sacralization also of any kind of ritual formulas in the Traditional Roman Religion. The term carmen  identifies the "sung ritual word" it means hymns, sacred verses, invocations to the Deities when these invocations are fixed in a formula: the song of the Arvales is named Carmen
